For too long, Washington has offered Wyoming a false choice: two parties more focused on climbing the ranks than delivering for the people who sent them there. Bring Down Gas and Grocery Prices
Wyoming families and businesses shouldn't have to choose between filling up the tank, stocking the fridge, and paying the bills. Years of rising costs have hit rural states hardest, where fewer grocery options and longer supply routes mean price increases land even harder on the family budget. James Byrd will fight to lower energy costs for everyday Wyomingites by supporting responsible domestic production, cutting the red tape that drives prices up, and ending the wasteful foreign wars that leave us footing the bill overseas instead of investing at home.
On groceries, he'll push back against corporate consolidation in food and agriculture that lets a handful of companies set prices while family producers get squeezed on both ends. Wyoming powers this country and feeds plenty of it too. It's time Washington made sure that work pays off at the register and at the pump, not just for corporations or foreign wars.
Protect Public Lands
Wyoming's public lands aren't just scenery. They're our heritage, our economy, and our way of life. James Byrd will stand against efforts to sell off or privatize the lands that belong to every Wyomingite, while working to keep them open for hunting, fishing, grazing, and recreation. Washington doesn't get to decide what our land is worth. We do.
Make Healthcare Affordable
No one in Wyoming should go bankrupt because they got sick or have to drive hours just to see a doctor. James Byrd will push to lower prescription drug costs, protect rural hospitals from closure, and make sure insurance actually works for the people paying into it. Healthcare should be a right you can count on, not a bill you dread.
Data Centers Shouldn't Come at Wyoming's Expense
James Byrd is skeptical of the rush to bring data centers into Wyoming. He won't support sweetheart tax deals or projects that strain the grid and drain water supplies just to benefit outside investors. If a project can't prove it pays its fair share and protects local resources, it doesn't belong here.
Stand Up for Wyoming Ranchers
James Byrd has called out federal neglect of Wyoming's ranching industry, from biosecurity gaps to unfair trade rules that leave local ranchers competing on an uneven playing field. He supports honest country-of-origin labeling and pushes back on regulatory overreach that burdens family operations without protecting anyone.
