Real Wyoming Strength Doesn't Hide From Scrutiny

Updated: 3 days ago
There is a weak new trend taking root in Washington: skipping debates, dodging independent journalists, and hiding from political opponents. Establishment insiders want you to believe this is a show of strength.
Let's turn that narrative on its head. Avoiding a debate isn't power, it's a confession of weakness.
The cancellation of the traditional Wyoming PBS U.S. Senate debate, solely because my opponent refused to respond to the invitation, is a disservice to our state. It's the behavior of politicians who are terrified of any setting that isn't a room full of cheerleaders, with hand-picked questions and no room for surprises. If you lack the confidence to defend your record under an unscripted spotlight, you shouldn't be asking for the job.
Wyomingites are built on independent thinking and the grit to hash out our differences face-to-face. We don't shrink from disagreement. We look people in the eye, listen to hard questions, and engage in honest debate, especially with those we don't agree with. That is what real toughness looks like.
True Wyoming strength doesn't hide behind a staff-managed screen. It steps up to the microphone.
I am fully prepared to stand on any stage, in any county, to earn your trust and defend my vision for our future.
We face a clear choice in this election: accept a weak Washington standard where power hides from scrutiny, or demand true Wyoming grit. Let's keep our proudest traditions of open democracy alive.
Fight on, James
It's time to show Washington that Wyoming doesn't hide.
Chip in today to bring Wyoming to Washington and hold our politicians accountable
